Fat Mike says "Hi everyone, here's what happened: some people at Side One Dummy records asked NOFX to be on the cover of the Warped Tour comp. We said "NO!" . Then they sent over some "Comp"-romising photos from our last trip to Japan that no one really needs to see. So we let them use a picture of me and Hefe for the cover. A week goes by and I get a call from them again. This time they want an unreleased song for the comp. I told them to go to hell. Then they sent over more photos. The next day NOFX went into the studio and recorded a new song for them. They liked it so much they only charged me $10,000 for the remainder of the photos. Thanks guys. You're the best!> Fat Mike
Were playing Riot Fest in Chicago Warped Tour NOFX: Backstage Passport As you may or may not have heard, NOFX recently traveled around the world, playing (or trying to play) in countries like Israel, Russia, Peru, Singapore, South Africa and other placesthat most bands are wise enough to avoid. They brought a camera crew along to film all the trouble they got into and they came home with bruises, hangovers, severe debt, and a hit 8-part docu-series called “NOFX: Backstage Passport”.
For those who enjoyed the series when it aired on Fuse TV in 2008--or those who don’t get Fuse but always wondered what El Hefe’s bare ass looks like--you’ll be pleased to learn that “NOFX: Backstage Passport” will finally be available on DVD through Fat Wreck Chords on MARCH 17Th!
The 2-disc set includes all 8 episodes of the original series as well as over TWO HOURS of NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN extra footage, adding up to 5 hours of utter nonsense overall. And it’s got region-free encoding, Japanese subtitles, and a really snazzy insert booklet, too, so get it! It’s the perfect April Fool’s, Arbor Day, or Belated St. Patty’s Day gift!
